The Avalanche Skills Training Level 2 is your next step in building your Backcountry education.

This course is 4 days of hands on learning in the Backcountry. It twill be taught by an ACMG guide and will focus on teaching you to recognize and manage risk in Avalanche terrain.

You will learn how to sharpen your skills uptracking in the mountains, as well as how to choose the lines that best match the conditions of a given day.

You will learn how to plan and execute a safe day in the Backcountry.

The AST 2 course is the highest level recreational avalanche course. It is designed to build on your existing knowledge and help you transition from rule based decision making to experience based decision making. We will focus on identifying and managing risk in avalanche terrain.
